I believe it
is very important to have someone on talk shows explaining to Americans
that we are winning the war in Iraq, that the Iraqi army is doing better
with every passing day and that Al Qaeda is on the ropes in Iraq, in their
death-throes. If someone is not delivering the positive message of the
American-Iraqi effort, it is highly possible for the terrorists to gain the
psychological advantage and we would leave Iraq without victory. This
message is critical as we approach our Presidential election. Defeat
will be snatched from the jaws of victory if we elect those
determined to see us defeated in Iraq to prove themselves correct in their
own eyes as they serve a left-wing agenda and electorate. We now have
victory in our hands but if we walk off of the battlefield now we would
surely claim defeat as the heritage for those whose blood flowed for
victory. Obama was and is unwavering in his proclamations to leave
Iraq, John McCain unwavering in his support for the "surge" and
its engineer, General Petreaus.
"Special Guests" is a
publicity service specializing in promoting an extensive selection of
situational experts on multiple subjects concerning the present day world
events. Our guests usually have written a book, which they promote to help
offset their publicity costs.
Michael
Payne has no such book, only a heart for our troops, our nation, Israel and
our security. He knew from his time in the military during the years of
Vietnam that the media was biased in their reporting and their agenda. He
went to Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel on 10 separate embedded trips. He has
a wealth of information, first-hand knowledge of the situation and a
passion to speak it across the country.
During the
time we booked Michael Payne on over 600 talk shows, he was one of the lone
voices of optimism about Iraq and Israel. During this time Michael was the
most sought after speaker we had. In opposition to the oft-repeated lies
that "all Iraqi people want the Yankees to go home", Michael
Payne countered that propaganda with truth, through radio interviews and
through his website: www.takeastandministries.org.
While CNN
and other liberal media outlets were focusing on the plight of the
"poor abused Palestinians", Michael brought a ground level
picture of the patience and restraint of Israel. Indeed, he and his wife
have just returned after spending 2 months living and working in a Sederot,
Israel on Kibbutz Nir Am bordering Gaza Strip this summer.
His reports
and broadcasts from Israel again provided us insight into the "ground
level" confrontation between terrorism and those who live in its
shadow.
From the beginning of hisfirst trip ( 5 embeds with the 1st Cavalry
Division) he trumpeted the facts of how our troops were gaining ground and
winning the war. Then in late 2006 and February 2007 in rapid succession
Michael made 2 trips back to Iraq, during the initial days of the
"surge". Again countering the negative, mainstream media's
bias and declaring that the surge was indeed being effective. Michael
has traveled into Israel 5 trips including this summer, spending 2 weeks in
northern Israel during the Lebanon War of 2006 reporting from Haifa,
Tiberias and Kiryat Shloma which took the heaviest rocket fire totaling
4000 in 1 month.
Today's news
reports all confirm the early analysis and assertions that Michael Payne
brought forth - "the Surge is working" -as he spent 3 weeks in
Sadr City with the 82nd Airborne. We are now making plans to honorably
withdraw from Iraq in victory, not defeat.
I was so
impressed by the glowing reports from talk show hosts and producers about
Michael that I overlooked his mounting bill for our publicity services.But
regardless of all the positive work Michael and I were able to accomplish,
eventually I was no longer able to carry the fees which I had to pay my
booking agents. Unable to pay my bookers to continue securing interviews
for Michael, I had to put Michael's bookings on hold.
We
are asking, "who is willing to step up to the plate" to help
start the talk show bookings again? Will we see terrorist propaganda break the will
of American citizens? Will we let the politicians "throw in the
towel" for political gain, then cut and run as during Vietnam? We will
accept defeat by electing Barack Obama through early withdrawal or will we
stand steadfast gaining the victory not only in Iraq through electing John
McCain. Will we return to the shame of the post Vietnam years through
Barack Obama or will we again feel the patriotism and pride of victory
through John McCain. These are all vital points which Michael can very
forcefully articulate comparing the bias of the press and the Democratic
Congress to the years of Vietnam and the fight in Iraq.
Michael has boundless energy, dedication and selflessness, but he needs

unbiased truth of our troops accomplishments. I know Michael takes no money
for himself from his tireless effort of advancing truth about the Middle
East. My hope and prayer is that you believe in Michael as much as I do,
